Our History
Hugh Barton along with Charles Evison and Vernon Small began Barton Marine Ltd on 5th July 1965. In 1971 Phil Hartley joined the Barton Marine team as a director and in 1980, Mike Calkoen and Mic Pinkney were also appointed directors. With the opening of the Napier branch, manager Richard Choat became director in 1987. A year later Tony Crew was also appointed director. It wasn't until 2019 when Elliot Cree became sole director to bring the company to where it is today.
