The Ronstan RF191 Halyard Lock is a compact and highly effective vee jammer system designed to securely lock wire halyards at a fixed position. Widely used on dinghies and small keelboats, it provides a reliable method of tensioning halyards without stretch, improving sail shape and performance.

Manufactured from marine-grade 316 stainless steel, the RF191 offers excellent corrosion resistance and durability in New Zealand’s harsh saltwater environments. The V-shaped groove locks onto a swaged copper ferrule, allowing the halyard load to be transferred from rope to wire once fully hoisted.

Typically used with a rope tail and wire strop system, the RF191 allows precise halyard positioning and can be installed at multiple heights for reefing setups. This makes it a simple yet highly efficient solution for modern rigging systems.
