What is Return Link Service (RLS)?
Return Link Service is one of the most important features of the ACR ResQLink 410 RLS.
Traditional PLBs transmit an emergency distress signal but provide no indication to the person carrying the beacon that the signal has been successfully received.
With RLS, the ResQLink 410 can receive a confirmation signal through the Galileo satellite network indicating that:
Your distress message has been received and your location has been detected.
This does not mean rescuers have already arrived or that two-way communication is available. Instead, it provides valuable confirmation that the satellite rescue system has received your alert.
RLS availability depends on the country and rescue system supporting the service.
How the ACR ResQLink 410 RLS Works
In a life-threatening emergency:

Built-In Buoyancy
Unlike PLBs that require a separate flotation pouch, the ResQLink 410 RLS is inherently buoyant.
